High Salary PG

Stephen Curry (10,600): Curry’s scoring has been down in his last two games, but he still had a solid bottom line on Monday against Minnesota with 11 assists and seven rebounds supporting his 19 points to 46.9 fantasy points. He has at least 43 fantasy points in six of his last seven games even with his “struggles,” and tonight he’ll look to get back on track against a team he typically demolishes.  In his three games against the Clippers this season, Curry is averaging 31.3 points, 6.1 assists, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.3 steals. He is an expensive play tonight, but coming home and taking on the Clippers may be just the cure for whatever is ailing him.  ∗∗

John Wall-Washington Wizards (10,000): The alternative elite PG option to Curry is John Wall who is trying to carry his team into the postseason and continues to put up big numbers almost every night.  He had a big game on Monday against Atlanta with 51.6 fantasy points on 27 points and 14 assists which gave him eight double-doubles in his last nine games and at least 47 fantasy points in five of his last nine contests.  Since he gets the Hawks again tonight and is $600 cheaper, Wall is actually a little less risky than Curry tonight, but he doesn’t have quite the ceiling that the reigning MVP brings to the table every night.

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,900): Another two teams finishing a home-and-home tonight are the Blazers and Mavericks.  Lillard played 44 minutes on Sunday against Dallas and had 26 points to go with eight assists and four rebounds for 39.8 fantasy points. After a few down games, Lillard has at least 35 fantasy points in three straight contests and is worth a look as he and the Blazers come home and look to earn a split after dropping a tough 132-120 game in Dallas.

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (8,000): Thomas and the Celtics have picked up a couple of wins since their four-game losing skid, but they’ll face a tough test tonight against the Raptors.  Thomas had played exceptionally well in the two games since Boston last faced Kyle Lowry and company .  He had 46.2 fantasy points against the Sixers and followed that with 42.5 fantasy points against the Magic.  He has at least 30 fantasy points in eight of his last ten games and over 42 in three of his last five.

Ricky Rubio-Minnesota Timberwolves (7,000): Rubio has picked up his play coming down the stretch with six double-doubles in his last eight games with at least 45 fantasy points in three of his last five.  His assist numbers have been good all season, but his scoring has improved as of late making him a very solid play tonight as the T-Wolves host Sacramento who has given up the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG this season.

Brandon Knight-Phoenix Suns (6,800): Knight had 22 points on Friday against the Lakers and he’ll face them again tonight as he looks to post his third straight game with at least 30 fantasy points. He only managed 13 points on Monday against Memphis but chipped in solid numbers with seven assists and six rebounds.  He’s without doubt the focus of the Suns’ offense once again and is in a great matchup against the Lakers who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG.

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (6,300): Mack and the Jazz catch the Rockets on the second game of their back-to-back as they travel to Houston tonight.  Mack has been a revelation since joining the Jazz at the deadline and has immediately stepped in as their starting PG. Mack has taken his game to the next level with three double-doubles in his last four games and at least 31 fantasy points in six straight contests.  He’ll have to deal with Patrick Beverley tonight, but he’s still been one of the most consistent plays in the 6K region lately.
