25. Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins

Such a low ranking might feel a little harsh for Tannehill, but he’s coming off of a very disappointing season and now faces a critical period in regards to his NFL future.

A few questions have been raised about whether Tannehill is the long-term answer for the Dolphins. There’s clearly no other options on Miami’s roster or realistic draft target upgrades, and Tannehill is deservedly going to get another year or two to prove himself.

Tannehill threw for over 4,200 yards with a quarterback rating of 88.7 in his fourth season since being selected eighth overall in the 2012 draft. Those numbers were down from 2014, as Tannehill regressed from his best season, something Miami didn’t want to see in his fourth year in the NFL.

The question is how much of that can be held against Tannehill given the coaching turmoil in Miami. New head coach Adam Gase is a fantastic offensive mind, and could really help Tannehill reach his big-time potential.

Tannehill certainly has the physical skill set to succeed in the NFL, with plenty of arm strength and great athleticism. However, if Gase can’t help him get going in the positive direction rather than regressing, Tannehill will remain a bottom-third NFL quarterback.
