LeBron James had some fun mocking the media scrutiny he faces in a video taken Wednesday night.
LeBron James is no stranger to media scrutiny. After unfollowing the Cleveland Cavaliers official Twitter account earlier this week, speculation began to fly about whether that meant LeBron was once again leaving Cleveland.
The answer is that he is not and he undergoes a sort of social media shutdown before each postseason. He unfollowed other Cavs-related accounts in preparation for the upcoming playoffs.
Because of all the attention he receives, James likes to have fun with it at times. This continued to be true after a video of LeBron surfaced from the locker room after Wednesday’s victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
The video was originally posted by Richard Jefferson, but has been captured on Vine as well.
There is LeBron James casually eating a banana while pretending to be a member of the overbearing media.
“Why are you eating a banana, LeBron? Does that mean you’re going to slip on a banana peel out of Cleveland?”
It is hard not to laugh at this as it shows how many questions he does receive over seemingly minute things he does. No reporter has asked him about banana consumption recently, but it does point to the larger issue he faces when saying anything on social media or in person.
