NFL Draft Rumors: Browns, Cowboys and others interested in Laquon Treadwell

Both the Cleveland Browns and the Dallas Cowboys are extremely interested in drafting wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.

One of the hottest NFL Draft prospects that everyone has been talking about recently is former Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell. In a draft that lacks big play threats, Treadwell is the full package, having a ton of success despite playing the SEC.

He is projected to go in at least the top 10, and possibly even the top five. In a recent interview with NBC Sports, Treadwell discussed the teams interested in him.

From Pro Football Talk:

"Treadwell rattled off the Bengals, Browns, Bears, and Cowboys among the primary teams that have shown interest. He also mentioned “New York” as a city to which he’d be traveling, but [the interviewer] neglected to ask whether he meant the Jets, Giants, or both."

The two most intriguing fits are the Cleveland Browns and the Dallas Cowboys. Treadwell would form a deadly duo in Dallas with Dez Bryant. The duo would have the potential to be the most prolific wide receiver tandem in recent memory.

Cleveland is intriguing, especially since they just signed Robert Griffin III to be their possible starting quarterback. It’s likely that they want to put him in a position to succeed. Other moves would need to be made, but drafting Treadwell would certainly be a step in the right direction for them.
