Oregon forward Jordan Bell jumped over two Duke players to throw down a massive lob
The Oregon Ducks entered the Sweet 16 in March Madness as the lone remaining team out of the Pac-12 with a huge task lying in front of them in the No. 4 seeded Duke Blue Devils. However, the Ducks have had the highest ceiling of any team from the conference all season and looked to prove they weren’t like the rest. Forward Jordan Bell tried to make that 100 percent clear to Duke as well early in the first half.
With things still close right after the opening tip in the first half, the Ducks were looking to get some easy buckets around the rim. So when Oregon’s Jordan Bell made a back-cut to the rim off the right wing, sophomore star Dillon Brooks threw up a lob to try and get the alley-oop. Even though two Duke defenders rose up to try and defend, it was Bell who rose up the highest to snatch the pass out of the air and then throw it down:
For a player who certainly doesn’t get the shine as his Oregon teammates like Brooks, Tyler Dorsey, and Elgin Cook, that’s a monstrous tone-setting play from Jordan Bell. Being able to rise up over defenders like that and make a strong finish in traffic is anything but easy, but the Ducks forward made it look that way on that play. He’ll need a few more of those to help Oregon advance to the Elite Eight, though.
