Jim Harbaugh has all the pieces he needs to lead Michigan to the College Football Playoff.
Michigan Football saw expanded exposure and television coverage since Jim Harbaugh took over and throughout his first season coaching at his alma mater. There will be no sophomore slump for Michigan as Harbaugh laid down a solid foundation in his first season and built upon that through his first full recruiting cycle in Ann Arbor.
It wasn’t the best outcome for the Wolverines during the 2015 season, but it definitely wasn’t the worse thing to happen in the team’s history. They went 10-3 overall and 6-2 in Big Ten action. They earned a berth in the Citrus Bowl against the Florida Gators and defeated them 41-7. The final AP poll had them 11th, while the College Football Playoff poll ranked them 12th overall.
They suffered two key losses to Michigan State and Ohio State to close out the regular season. The latter loss kept them from playing in the Big Ten Championship and having any hope of playing in the College Football Playoff.
However, that is all in the past now and Harbaugh can learn from his first season in charge as he looks to lead Michigan to future success in 2016. Find out why Harbaugh can lead the Wolverines to not only the College Football Playoff, but all the way to the championship game.
