March Madness 2016, Wisconsin vs Notre Dame: Live stream, start time, TV info and more

No. 7 Wisconsin Badgers vs No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Wisconsin was on the brink of missing the NCAA Tournament since 1998, but the second half resurgence under new head coach Greg Gard has granted the Badgers a No. 7 seed, now leading to a Sweet 16 berth. Finishing the regular season and Big Ten Tournament strong with an 11-3 record and quality wins, Wisconsin gained major confidence.

Feeling like they can beat anyone, the Badgers took down No. 2 seed Xavier in round two thanks to a 3-pointer at the buzzer by Bronson Koenig. He is averaging 13.3 points per game, good for second on the team. Nigel Hayes is the team’s top dog, putting up 15.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.

Notre Dame narrowly avoided playing No. 3 seed West Virginia in the second round after 14-seeded Stephen F. Austin pulled off the mammoth upset, but the Cinderella season was cut short by the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame might be one of those teams that doesn’t get enough respect, but the Fighting Irish are dangerous.

Demetrius Jackson has led the way for the Irish all season long, taking over the role Jerian Grant had last year. Jackson’s averaging 15.5 points and 4.7 assists per game while shooting about 45 percent from the field. Zach Auguste has been a monster in the post, averaging an impressive 14.3 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
