Here is an updated look at the 2016 March Madness bracket after the Notre Dame Fighting Irish advanced to the Elite Eight.

While most of the battles in the Sweet 16 have been one-sided affairs en route to the Elite Eight, the best game of the round thus far occurred on Friday night, when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated the Wisconsin Badgers on the heels of heads up play.

Just when it looked like Wisconsin might be able to ice the game with free throws in a close one, the Fighting Irish were able to steal a pass off the inbound attempt and take the lead. From there, the Badgers couldn’t score to tie or take the lead and Notre Dame was punching their ticket to the Elite Eight.

With Notre Dame’s big win, they will now advance to the Elite Eight, where they will have a showdown with the winner of North Carolina and Indiana. Facing either will be a huge test for them, but they’ve shown they can play with anyone.

With a great game in the books, here’s an updated look at the 2016 March Madness bracket.
