The Syracuse Orange defeated the Gonzaga Bulldogs and advanced to the Elite Eight.

The Syracuse Orange have continued to defy all expectations as they continue to advance through March Madness. After they were one of the last bubble teams that got into the tournament, the Orange have shown that they are more than worthy of getting in, as they have not been put down yet.

In the Sweet 16 on Friday night, the Orange took down another underdog that had been rolling through teams in Gonzaga. It was a spirited contest that came down to the end with the Orange icing the game on free throws to win 63-60.

With the win, the Orange now advance to the Elite Eight and have a chance to compete for a spot in the Final Four, which no one saw coming. However, they are going to have quite the fight to get there, as they will face the No. 1 Virginia Cavaliers.

With the Orange moving onto the Elite Eight, here is an updated look at the 2016 March Madness bracket.
