A look at the tip times and TV schedule for Saturday’s March Madness Elite Eight games
There was plenty of anticipation leading up to the second weekend of March Madness and the Sweet 16 considering some of the high-profile matchups that were on display. When it was all said and done on Thursday night in the Sweet 16, though, four teams punched their tickets to the Elite Eight and will now gear up to play on Saturday evening.
In the South Region on Thursday night in the Sweet 16, it was the Villanova Wildcats opening the night at the KFC Yum! Center as they continued to look like one of the best teams still in March Madness in their win over the Miami Hurricanes. In the nightcap in the South Region, it was the Kansas Jayhawks that proved they’re the No. 1 overall seed as they pulled away from the Maryland Terrapins to pick up the win. Villanova and Kansas will now face off on Saturday.
As for the West Region, the Oklahoma Sooners absolutely trounced the Texas A&M Aggies in the first game of the night from the Honda Center. That one was followed up by the Oregon Ducks finally reaching their potential in a dominant and impressive victory over the Duke Blue Devils. The Elite Eight matchup will now feature Oklahoma vs. Oregon.
With those two matchups set for the Elite Eight, they have already announced the TV schedule and tip times for those two games on Saturday, March 26:
