Former NBA All-Star point guard Steve Francis has a serious boat problem. It’s on dry land in Sarasota and it has to get in the water. Can you help him out?

Steve Francis may have had a successful NBA career mostly as the star player for the early 2000s Houston Rockets, but he’s in a bit of a bind in Southwest Florida. See, Stevie Franchise has a boat that he needs to get in the harbor.

Francis wrote on Instagram Friday morning to see if somebody can help him get his boat from dry land in Sarasota, Florida into the water.

He had very specific instructions: “I need a company to ship one of my boats from Sarasota to the Harbor. Serious inquires. If you respond to me no dice. Leave a message at my office. Ask for Carrie Potter and leave a message.”

It’s a boat, Steve. It’s not like you’re moving gold bars from Fort Knox to some undisclosed location. The combined to total of towing the boat and putting into the water should cost less than $1,000, something The Franchise in theory should be able to cover no sweat.

Did Francis lose his boat guy or something? The way he phrased it on his Instagram account sounds like he is a man of many, many boats. However, he’s treating the potential amphibious submission of his catamaran like it’s his first rodeo.

He’s basically giving off the vibe that he has a serious boat problem, but doesn’t want to be bothered and would prefer Potter to vet the potential boating client that can get his navy and white speed boat into the water in Greater Sarasota.

For what seems like only a $700 ordeal just to move a boat a couple of miles, of course it makes sense to put someone else’s phone number up on Instagram to delegate Francis’ boat problem.
