High Salary SF

Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,400): Durant and his investors are surely happy the Spurs will be sending their B-squad tonight and Durant won’t have to deal with Kawhi Leonard. Durant had a rough game agains tHouston on Tuesday  finishing with just 33.4 fantasy points and raising concerns that his elbow injury could be worse than originally though. However, he bounced back with 20 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, and 44.1 fantasy points in just 30 minutes against the Jazz on Thursday. It’s hard to know how much he’ll play tonight since it could turn into a blowout, but Durant has been consistent with over 20 points and over 44 fantasy points just about every night regardless of the situation.

LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers (9,900): LeBron says he needs to “do more” after the Cavs embarrassing loss to the Nets on Thursday. In that game, James had 30 points, six rebounds, five assists, and a steal for 42.7 fantasy points. He has at least 42 fantasy points in three straight contests dating back to Monday in Denver when he triple-doubled for 59.7 fantasy points against the Nuggets.  James’ owners will be happy if “doing more” results in bigger numbers tonight against the Knicks as LeBron tangles with one of his banana boat buddies, Carmelo Anthony. ∗∗∗

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,700): Batum had just ten points in his 27 minutes against the Pistons last night but added seven assists and seven rebounds for 28.9 fantasy points. He usually plays a much heaver workload, so look for the minutes to go up tonight against the Bucks as he takes on Giannis Antetokounmpo.  As much heavy-lifting as the Greek Freak is doing on offense, the Bucks have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing SF which is where Batum has slid to since the Hornets acquired Courtney Lee. I still think Batum is priced a little high, but his upside to produce a big night across the board makes him worth a look tonight if you can’t afford the big names.

Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (6,100): As long as the Celtics don’t run away and hide too early, Turner should have a good game tonight against the Suns who are among the worst teams in the NBA at defending the PG, SG, and SF spots all of which Turner rotates through on a regular basis.  Turners posted three straight games with at least 28 fantasy points and has now reached that number in six of his last ten contests.  Turner had 17 points, seven assists, four rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in Boston’s big win over the Raptors on Wednesday for 39.3 fantasy points, and he could easily approach the same multi-faceted line again tonight in Phoenix.
