Kansas guard Frank Mason III pulled off a nice play during the second half of Saturday’s Elite Eight game.
On Saturday night, the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks are facing No. 2 Villanova Wildcats. The winner will receive a spot in the Final Four to play the Buddy Hield led Oklahoma Sooners.
If Kansas wins, a Big 12 rematch against Oklahoma would certainly draw interest. These teams have battled in their conference for years and one more fight for a spot in the National Championship game would be huge.
One of the Jayhawks’ top players is junior guard Frank Mason III. He put up 12.8 PPG and 4.6 APG during the regular season to help lead the team to the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
During Saturday’s game, Mason made his presence felt. Along with his nine points and 3 assists, the Virginia native pulled off this impressive play in the second half vs Villanova. He stole an inbound pass, took a dribble, spun, and hit a beautiful reverse lay up to close the gap on the Wildcats’ lead.

Kansas is continuing to battle with Villanova to make it to the Final Four. A loss would be a slight upset given that many had the Jayhawks winning the National Championship. ‘Nova has proven to be a more than viable challenger, though, and should make for a fun finish to the game.
