A tough ending to the season led to the Sooners earning a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but this will be the best game in the West Region in the tourney thus far — a high-scoring affair.

As we all know by now, Buddy Hield is a magician with the basketball. After recording his first double-double of the season, the senior guard is looking to lead the Sooners past the Sweet 16 — something he couldn’t do last year. On the year, the national player of the year candidate is averaging 25.1 points and 5.7 rebounds.
Facing the reigning national champs on Thursday, the Oregon Ducks may have used that as an opportunity to have the torch passed onto them. The Ducks took down Duke in blowout fashion and proved that they’re much more than just the third or fourth-best No. 1 seed, this team is truly a national title threat.
The leader of this team is Dillon Brooks, a solid sophomore forward who can do it all. He averages a team-high 17.0 points to go along with 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Brooks is like a poor man’s Denzel Valentine with the potential to be just as good. Keep an eye out for Tyler Dorsey, too, as the freshman is the team’s main three-point specialist.
