Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook unleashed a furious vengeance on the rim against the San Antonio Spurs.
There’s not a player in the NBA that has taken off for as many explosive dunks as Russell Westbrook in the last few years. While there are plenty of phenomenal dunkers in the league, Westbrook has this thing for violent dunks that seem impossible.
Against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, Westbrook got mad at the rim again and made sure to punish it with a truly destructive dunk. As Westbrook saw his lane, he was clear for take-off and he put down a jam that had everyone raise to their feet.

With the Thunder playing the rival Spurs, there’s always plenty of motivation for Westbrook to give it his all and show off just how explosive he can be. It’s often said the Spurs are one of the smartest teams in the league and that can be said about them on this play, as they let Westbrook soar and do his thing with the basketball.
There’s been plenty of dunks like this one before, but they never get old and seeing the genuine joy on Westbrook’s face as he destroys the rim is always fun to watch.
