No. 2 Villanova vs. No. 1 Kansas
After 68 teams had hopes and dreams of winning a National Championship, just eight teams remain as the field for the Elite Eight is officially set. On Saturday, the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks will battle the No. 2 Villanova Wildcats and the winner will come out of the South Region and head to the Final Four.
Even more incredibly, both of these teams were able to survive the region they are in and fended off some truly talented teams to get to the Elite Eight. Villanova put on quite the show on Thursday night, when Kris Jenkins and the Wildcats blew out the Miami Hurricanes and flexed their offensive muscles.
The Kansas Jayhawks battle wasn’t as easy, but they also pulled away in the second half from the Maryland Terrapins and showed off their dominant side as well. This time, these two teams are going to put on quite the show as they chase down glory and the right to be remembered.
