Watch Buddy Hield learn Oklahoma is playing Villanova on team plane (Video)

Before Oklahoma left California on Saturday, Buddy Hield had to know who his team was playing

Well, after the NCAA Tournament action of Saturday night, we now know two teams who will be squaring off in the Final Four next Saturday. With Oklahoma taking down Oregon and Villanova disposing of Kansas, the Sooners and Wildcats will be doing battle in Houston next weekend.

Now in the first game, the Oklahoma win, Buddy Hield put in one of his best performances of the season, dropping in 37 points and barely missing from three. It was yet another statement from one of the best players in the country as he inches toward more likely being named the Player of the Year and possibly a national championship.

Before Hield left California, however, he just had to know who he and his team were playing. So, he took the initiative on the team plane to listen to the end of the Villanova-Kansas game and then let everyone else know they’d be taking on the Wildcats.

The interesting part is that, like a lot of us, Hield was hoping to get another crack a Kansas, the team that beat he and the Sooners twice in the regular season.

However, you have to imagine he’s still a little pleased he gets to go on the court with Villanova next weekend — a team they blew out back in December.
