No. 10 Syracuse vs. No. 1 Virginia
The Syracuse Orange have to overcome adversity all season. After a season where the Orange self-imposed a postseason ban, the Orange just got in as a bubble team this year, but they’re coming alive at the right time and are a serious threat to make the Final Four.
Through three rounds, the Orange have overcome the odds and have shown that they aren’t to be taken lightly. However, they will face their toughest test yet in the tournament, when they face the Virginia Cavaliers on Sunday, in the Midwest Region Final.
On Friday night, the Cavaliers had an impressive blowout win against the Iowa State Cyclones. Anthony Gill did his job in the interior and provided a spark for Virginia. Center Mike Tobey came off the bench and provided an even bigger presence.
The battle between two should be a good one, as this is the second time they have met this season. Virginia won the first battle earlier this year.
