March Madness 2016: Who is in the Final Four?

The NCAA Tournament is coming to a close, so who are the teams in the Final Four?

It’s really hard to believe, but the 2016 NCAA Tournament is quickly coming to a close. After all the excitement of the college basketball season, we now know the teams that will be the participants in the 2016 Final Four.

Saturday night in the Elite Eight, both Oklahoma and Villanova were able to punch their tickets to be in the most coveted grouping in sports. Oklahoma, behind the sharpshooting of Buddy Hield, were able to charge their way past Oregon to make their way to Houston. After that game was all said and done, it was Villanova’s turn to make sure their spot was secure, as they took down Kansas, the No. 1 overall seed in the bracket.

On Easter Sunday, it was time to pick the Elite Eight action back up, and the first game did not disappoint at all. Syracuse kept things rolling, the team that no one even thought deserved a spot in the entire field. After being down by 16, they rallied back to defeat fellow ACC member Virginia, marking another appearance for the Orange in the Final Four. Following that one, we got another all-ACC showdown as North Carolina took on Notre Dame. This matchup was a little closer than the one they had in the ACC Tournament, but in the end it was the same result as the Tar Heels came away with the win.

So with all of that, the 2016 Final Four is completely set. Oklahoma will take on Villanova and Syracuse will face North Carolina next Saturday in Houston.
