A look at the update 2016 NCAA Women’s Tournament bracket after Washington and Syracuse moved to the Final Four
The 2016 NCAA Women’s Tournament has been far from predictable and certainly lived up to the idea of March Madness in many ways. Though the No. 1 overall seed in the UConn Huskies have been just as dominant as ever, the top-3 seeds in each region on the right side of the NCAA Women’s Tournament bracket were eliminated in the Sweet 16. Subsequently, it would be two No. 4 seeds and two No. 7 seeds vying for a trip to the Final Four on Sunday.
In the matchup between the No. 4 Syracuse Orange and No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers, it was the higher seed that dominated the matchup. Though the Orange were only up by seven points going into the fourth quarter, they used a 26-11 run in the final period to put away one of the most historic programs in women’s college hoops.
The other game featured the No. 7 Washington Huskies and No. 4 Stanford Cardinal and that game played out completely opposite the other Elite Eight matchup. Washington jumped out to a 22-7 lead over the higher seed and simply hung on to that lead for the remaining three quarters to pick up the win and advance to the Final Four.
Now that two Final Four teams are set, let’s take a look at the updated 2016 NCAA Women’s Tournament bracket to see where things stand and what’s on deck.

Syracuse and Washington will now face off in one Final Four matchup while Monday’s Elite Eight games will determine the other two teams heading to Indianapolis for the Final Four.
