High Salary SG

DeMar DeRozan-Toronto Raptors (8,000): DeRozan has at least 31 fantasy points in eight of his last nine games and seems to right around 35 almost every night.  He did explode against Miami a couple weeks ago for 63.5 fantasy points, but usually he’s comfortably in the 30-40 range.  Tonight, he’ll try to help the Raps run with the Thunder in what should be an entertaining early game.  He isn’t a lock to get his full value, but he is a relatively safe option as long as we get confirmation that he’s not resting as the Raptors continue their pursuit of the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,000): McCollum is in a great matchup tonight at home against the Kings who allow the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. McCollum has averaged 26.5 points, 7.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals against the Kings this year although his big game against them came when Damian Lillard was sidelined.  He has shown he can still produce even with Lillard is active, though, and has at least 37 fantasy points in four of his last six games including a very nice 44.9 fantasy points that he produced on Saturday against the Sixers.

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (6,500): Booker has produced at least 30 fantasy points in three straight games and in seven of his last ten.  He had 21 point, four boards, and four assists on Saturday against Boston and continues to be a huge part of the Suns’ offense. With all the injuries in Phoenix, Booker has gotten plenty of playing time and continues to be a solid play as the Suns visit Minnesota in what should be a high-scoring shootout tonight. When the teams met two weeks ago, Booker played 43 minutes but struggled to just 22.6 fantasy points.

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,300): LaVine logged just 32 minutes (very low for him) against the Suns in their last meeting but still managed to score 28 points and finish with 32.1 fantasy points. He used that game to start a run of three straight games with over 30 fantasy points and he has at least that many in four of his last six contests.  He struggled on Saturday as the team played with a hangover from Friday night’s double-OT win in Washington.  He should get plenty of minutes tonight against a good matchup, but his non-scoring numbers aren’t as consistent as Booker making him a slightly riskier option for tonight than his Suns’ counterpart.
