Knicks’ Kristaps Porzingis makes big block on Pelicans’ Alonzo Gee (Video)

New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis made a giant block on New Orleans Pelicans forward Alonzo Gee.

New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis is a very tall individual. This is hardly news to anyone. It gives him the advantage in the interior and because of his exceptionally long arms, Porzingis can be a shot-blocking machine in his career.

On Monday night, Porzingis had yet another huge block to highlight a fantastic rookie season. As the Knicks were taking on the struggling New Orleans Pelicans, Porzingis showed just how dominant he can be, when Pelicans veteran forward Alonzo Gee tried to challenge him at the hoop.

Gee is no stranger to putting down big dunks, but taking on a man as tall as Porzingis was one task to difficult to achieve. As Gee went up, Porzingis met him in the air and the two simultaneously had their hand on the ball at the same time, which was a battle Porzingis won of course.

It sure was a beautiful block to watch and it’s great to see the young big man continue to make big plays for the Knicks. He’s well on his way to being a monster in the interior.
