During the New York Knicks game against the New Orleans Pelicans, one young fan ran on the court to hug Carmelo Anthony.
When you’re a young fan growing up, there’s nothing quite like getting to see your favorite NBA players play. Whether it’s a hometown hero or a visiting superstar, getting to see the best in the game play at such a young age can be an exciting moment for any youngster.
During the New Orleans Pelicans’ home game against the New York Knicks on Monday night, one kid in attendance got so excited to see New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony, that he ran out onto the court and decided to hug the Knicks superstar.
Play would be stopped as they tried to get the kid off the court.
You could tell Anthony didn’t want the young fan to get in trouble as he held onto the kid to make sure nothing happened.
While an adult would have been tackled to the ground, possibly subdued or worse, it’s a little bit different when it’s a young kid meeting his hero. At the end of the day, he got to meet his hero and that’s all that matters.
