A look at the updated 2016 NCAA Women’s Tournament bracket after the Final Four has been set
Coming into the 2016 NCAA Women’s Tournament, the feeling seemed to be that the four No. 1 seeds in March Madness would be the ones that would ultimately end up in Indianapolis for the Final Four. As the old adage goes, that’s why they play the games because the Final Four is now set and only one No. 1 seed remains in the 2016 NCAA Women’s Tournament.
The No. 1 seed that did make it to the Final Four was a predictable one. The top-overall seed in the undefeated UConn Huskies stayed perfect with a victory over the Texas Longhorns on Monday evening. Though the game was by far the closest that the Huskies have been a part of to date in the Women’s Tournament. However, the other game on Monday night featured a No. 1 seed in the Baylor Bears getting knocked off in a nail-biter against the Oregon State Beavers as the No. 2 seed Beavers moved on in the Women’s Tournament bracket.
UConn and Oregon State join the winners from Sunday’s pair of Elite Eight games as the No. 4 Syracuse Orange continued their hot run through March Madness and the No. 7 Washington Huskies remained the Cinderella story of the Women’s Tournament to this point.
Now that the Final Four is set, let’s take a look at the updated 2016 NCAA Women’s Tournament bracket to see where things stand and which teams will square off in the Final Four.

Will Oregon State be able to stop this UConn team? And if not, will the other two teams on the other side of the Women’s Tournament bracket stand a chance against the Huskies? That’s essentially what it feels like it’s come down to at this point, even if it’s been wildly unpredictable to this point.
