5.  Success against other AFC East teams

Throughout his time in the league, Foster has had quite a bit of success in rushing for nearly 6,500 and 54 touchdowns. This comes while playing in less than half the games during the regular season in four of his seven years with the Houston Texans. Now, he would head to an AFC East where he has had plenty of success against the three teams in that division with the Dolphins.

In six careers games against the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and New England Patriots, Foster has averaged over 86 yards a game and over one touchdown each contest. His biggest success is against the Jets, whom he had a combined 236 yards and three touchdowns in two meeting with them. Against the Patriots, he went for 165 yards and three scores in two games while rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown against the Bills.

While the AFC East is becoming more and more known for spread offenses and throwing the ball, it is still a running back driven division and you need someone who can get yards against some of the best rush defense in the league. If healthy, Foster can be that for the Dolphins.
