WWE RAW results, March 28, 2016: Live tracker

Tracking the live results from WWE RAW on March 28, 2016, the go-home show for WrestleMania 32

WrestleMania 32 is now officially less than a week away and there is only one more episode of WWE RAW remaining until the company’s biggest show of the year. While the go-home episode of WWE RAW is traditionally somewhat uneventful in terms of matches as WWE wants to make sure no one gets injured this close to WrestleMania, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a great deal still to happen on Monday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Without question, there is at least one more confrontation or set of promos to come from Roman Reigns and Triple H leading up to their match in the main event of WrestleMania 32 considering the back-and-forth beatdowns and jockeying for power within WWE. It’s almost a certainty that confrontation will happen on WWE RAW in Brooklyn.

In terms of matches that have yet to be set for WrestleMania, Chris Jericho has yet to respond to the challenge of AJ Styles, which makes you wonder what The Phenomenal One will have to say or do to get Jericho to respond and/or accept on WWE RAW.

That’s not all that’s in store inside Barclays Center as Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar are both prepping for a war at WrestleMania. So too are The Undertaker and Shane McMahon—with Vince McMahon looming, no less—as they get ready for their Hell in a Cell match and clearly have more to build their feud with.

With all of that and more in store for the go-home episode of WWE RAW on March 28, you won’t miss any of the action from Brooklyn. You can follow along with the live tracker of the show’s results starting at 8 p.m. ET at the beginning of the show below.

The Deadman Cometh

The Undertaker was out to start WWE RAW in Brooklyn and, after coming out to raucous cheers, didn’t waste any time in declaring that this will not be his last WrestleMania.

He then ran back the fact that Shane McMahon’s blood wouldn’t be on his hands, but stated that Vince McMahon’s blood might be. Right as he was wrapping up, though, “HERE COMES THE MONEY!” rang throughout Barclays Center and out came Shane.

Shane then cut his own promo talking about legacy and wanting to take over WWE RAW, but then came down to the ring when Taker called him “rich boy” and said not to talk about his legacy. Shane had some verbal ammo of his own, though, saying that Undertaker’s legacy died two years ago (when he lost to Brock Lesnar and the Streak ended).

Taker obviously took offense and then said Shane was just like his dad because, from the beginning, Shane O Mac has been his daddy’s “b***h.” That then started a physical altercation with Shane starting it, but The Phenom soon got the upper hand and looked for the Last Ride through the announce table. Shane countered, though, and unloaded with punches and then began hitting him with the TV monitor.

With Undertaker then laid out, Shane O Mac dipped into the risk-taking performer we all know and love from yesteryear and dove off the top rope to elbow drop Taker through the announce table.

However, as Shane walked out in triumph, Taker did his patented sit-up, brought down the lights, and the two stared each other down to end the opening segment.

Zack Ryder vs Chris Jericho

AJ Styles came out before the match began to say that he wasn’t leaving until Chris Jericho accepted his challenge for a match at WrestleMania 32.

Jericho was obviously distracted by Styles sitting ringside and, after a short match, got rolled up for the pin by Ryder to give the Zack Attack the win. Y2J snapped after the match, hitting Ryder with a Codebreaker and throwing a tantrum.

Infuriated by this, Jericho said he’d take on Styles at WrestleMania before saying that this will be AJ’s first Mania and he’d make it his last.

Winner: Zack Ryder

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte

In a match that served to help set-up the Divas Triple Threat at WrestleMania, Sasha Banks was out at ringside while Becky had the advantage for most of the match and the champion in Charlotte was reeling.

However, it was Ric Flair holding Becky back as she tried to get back into the ring that ultimately cost Lynch the match.

Winner: Charlotte

Shane Let’s Daddy Know What’s Up

There was then a short backstage segment in which Shane McMahon confronted his dad backstage, after Vince waxed poetic about how useful a pissed off Undertaker is to him. Shane then told his dad that Vince may have stolen the company from his father, but Shane would be taking it from his dad.

Social Outcasts vs Big Show & Kane

This match lasted roughly a millisecond before the other two members of the Social Outcasts got involved for the DQ and then a host of superstars came out to all brawl in the ring to preview the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Winner: Big Show & Kane

Triple H is Obsessed

The Authority were out next for a promo. Stephanie McMahon kicked it off just to introduce Triple H. The COO then delivered a great promo running down the fans for not being successful and then talking about being obsessed with winning. He then said that the fire had died out not long ago, but Roman Reigns reignited the flame.

Triple H then said that Roman wouldn’t stand a chance at WrestleMania because of his mistake of lighting that flame of his obsession once again. When Steph got back on the mic to be shrill again, Roman finally came out to try and stop him.

Things got briefly physical, but just barely before The Authority ultimately took off running.

Kofi Kingston vs Alberto Del Rio

Kofi Kingston took on Alberto Del Rio in a singles match and it was quite entertaining as the action went back-and-forth for several minutes. Kofi won the match when he rolled up Del Rio as a counter to the Cross Armbreaker to pick up the win.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

However, this was all secondary to what happened next. As New Day walked up the ramp, out came current ESPN anchor and former WWE personality Jonathan “Coach” Coachman. He first applauded New Day and then made a major announcement that ESPN will be live at WrestleMania this year.

Coach then danced with the tag champs to end the segment.

Roman Gets In Over His Head

Roman Reigns was backstage for an interview when Bubba Ray Dudley showed up and began taunting him to try and get him to fight. As Roman came in pursuit, though, D-Von Dudley showed up and then Triple H came in and the three men began beating Reigns down. The champ then told Roman he’d never beat him before slamming his face into the title belt and leaving the challenger laid out.

Konnor vs Kalisto

It was pretty clear here that they were trying to showcase that Kalisto could hold his own against a big guy, which he did in picking up a quick win after Konnor couldn’t hang with his speed.

Ryback was down after the match to show off just how much bigger he is than the United States Champ and to essentially intimidate Kalisto.

Bork Lazer Ready to Fight, Dean’s Packing Up

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar were out as Heyman delivered his usual promo that was great to hype up Lesnar for his street fight against Dean Ambrose. At the end of the promo, though, Dean’s music hit and out he came carrying a wagon.

Never once looking at Brock, Ambrose then filled up the wagon with a variety of weapons and then walked away in an oddly effective little segment and bit of psychology.

Eva Marie is Now on the Main Roster

There was a match between Emma and Paige to try and set up the multi-Diva tag match at Mania, but it was really just a mechanism to re-debut Eva Marie as the fifth member of the Total Divas team.

Emma won the match after Lana interfered, for whatever that’s worth.

Winner: Emma

We then got a backstage segment with Goldust and R-Truth where they simply said it’s every man for himself in the Andre Battle Royal.

Kevin Owens, Stardust, & The Miz vs Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler & Sin Cara

This match could’ve have been a mess, but it actually was quite good and did a fantastic job of showcasing six of the seven competitors in the Intercontinental Championship ladder match at WrestleMania. Dolph Ziggler continued to look like a million bucks, especially coming in off of a hot tag.

When the heels looked to be in control, though, Miz and Stardust bailed on Kevin Owens and left the IC champ all by himself.

Sure enough, that led to a one-on-one showdown between the two rivals in Owens and Zayn. Zayn ultimately hit a Tornado DDT and then the Helluva Kick to get the pin on the champ and the win for his team.

Winners: Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler & Sin Cara

One Last Time, HHH vs Roman

The Authority were out to finish the promo that Reigns interrupted earlier in the show, but Roman interrupted once again and he started brawling with the champ. Reigns finally got the upper hand, but Stephanie then called down all the heels from the back to pull the challenger back and allow HHH to get the advantage.

The two were separated and Hunter was taken outside of the ring while the Usos held Roman in the ring. That is until Reigns dove to the outside to take out everyone.

The show went off the air with Triple H fleeing with the belt and Roman standing tall in the ring.
