Brian Windhorst tries to blame Adam Schefter for falling asleep on TV

ESPN NBA writer Brian Windhorst tried to blame Adam Schefter after falling asleep while on TV.

Everyone is tired at work in the morning. Whether it’s not having enough sleep or getting enough coffee in the morning, sometimes people droop their head and catch a few more minutes of shut eye while on the job. It appears that’s what happened to ESPN NBA writer Brian Windhorst on SportsCenter on Tuesday.

While everyone was waiting for Windhorst to talk about Russell Westbrook’s tremendous season, there was a delayed response and it clearly looked like he had fallen asleep. Rather than admitting he fell asleep like the average person, Windhorst tried to say he was looking at his phone.

Afterward, he even took to Twitter to try and blame Adam Schefter for getting a ton of praise while looking at his phone while on SportsCenter.

Let’s try and digest this phone thing real quick. When Adam Schefter is on, it’s usually because their is breaking news and stories are breaking left and right for him to break down. While Windhorst gets plenty of scoops, the trade deadline has long passed and NBA Free Agency is still a ways off.

There probably wasn’t any story too urgent for him to check his phone at the time. It’s fine to be tired and fall asleep. While it’s strange it happened on camera, he certainly isn’t the first person to fall asleep on TV.
