Goaltenders

Brian Elliott – St. Louis Blues ($8,500): Elliott has a three-game shutout streak going and he will look to make it four against an Avalanche team that just played on Monday. He has an 8-0-1 record over his last 10 games and a 20-7-6 record overall on the season. Elliott has an impressive .934 save percentage and 1.95 goals against average this season. He averages 5.1 fantasy hockey points per game (including 6.6 per game over his last 10 games).

James Reimer – San Jose Sharks ($7,100): Martin Jones started last night for the Sharks, so it can be expected that Reimer will get the start tonight against the Canucks. Reimer has done quite well with the Sharks this season with 10 goals allowed in five games since joining them (and five of them were in one game). He has two shutouts with the Sharks. In three games against the Canucks this season, Reimer has allowed seven goals. He averages 4.1 fantasy hockey points per game.

Marc-Andre Fleury – Pittsburgh Penguins ($8,400): Fleury will go tonight against the Sabres (who just played last night). He has a 34-17-6 record this season with a 2.29 GAA and a .921 save percentage. At home this season, he has a 2.30 GAA and a .921 save percentage. The Penguins netminder averages 4.9 fantasy hockey points per game.

Scott Wedgewood – New Jersey Devils ($7,100): They say to ride the hot hand while it is hot. Wedgewood has the hot hand right now as he has a .957 save percentage and a 1.25 GAA in four games this season for the Devils. Goalies are fickle so it’s hard to predict when they’ll get hot and cold, so Wedgewood is a bit of a risk. However, if you’re looking for value in the net, Wedgewood is the best you’re going to find at a low price (other than Reimer). He averages 6.3 fantasy hockey points per game.
