Fans across the country may not tune in to watch a lot of Colorado Rockies games. I get it. Their pitching is a disaster and they seem to just continually rebuild. They do however have one of the best third baseman in the game today and a guy who produces a web gem a night.
They may have gotten rid of Troy Tulowitzki, but now the Rockies have another young slugger to be the face of their franchise in Nolan Arenado.
We all knew he could field. He was a Gold Glove winner the first two years in the big leagues. The question was whether if he could stay healthy for a full season, how would he do on offense?
We got that answer in a big way, as Arenado led the NL in homers with 42 and RBI with 130. That production led him to his first All-Star game appearance as well as his first Silver Slugger award. He also led the NL in Total Bases with 354.
Arenado put up a career high in WAR with 5.8 and saved 18 runs at the hot corner.
If Arenado played in a bigger market on a better team you may hear more about him, but if he repeats his 2015 season you’ll hear about him anyway.
