No. 1 – San Francisco Giants

For three of the last six seasons, the World Series trophy has been held up by the men in black and orange. After taking a step back last season, the Giants are primed and ready to get back into the Fall Classic and win their fourth title in under a decade.

The lineup was depleted by injuries for much of the 2015 season, which was probably the main reason why the Giants failed to live up to their own high expectations. If Hunter Pence can return to his best and form a power duo with all-world catcher Buster Posey, the Giants can hang with anyone in the NL.

As for the pitching staff, only two words are necessary: Madison Bumgarner. Arguably the best pitcher in all of baseball (though L.A. Dodgers might argue), Bumgarner will pace a rotation hungry to get back to winning ways. In addition to a strong lineup and rotation, San Francisco has the experience and know-how to win a World Series. Don’t be surprised if their run of even-year titles continues.
