Pop star Iggy Azalea responded to the release of a tape showing her fiancée, Lakers star Nick Young, taking about his interactions with other women.
Inside the locker room for the Los Angeles Lakers, the tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. In the middle of the worst season in franchise history, news broke that rookie guard D’Angelo Russell secretly taped a conversation with teammate Nick Young talking about various women Young had interactions with.
Aside from violating almost every man code there is with what Russell thought was a “harmless prank,” according to one Lakers official, it has brought attention onto Young’s fiancée, pop singer Iggy Azalea. The Australian pop star has been engaged to Young since last summer, but those plans might be changing. Azalea took to Twitter and (possibly sarcastically) thanked Russell for his recording:
Hollywood insiders have said that Azalea and Young have halted their wedding plans as a result of the recording’s release though they have not officially broken up. In the video, Russell asked Young about an interaction with a 19-year-old woman.
Russell also asked Young about his relationship with model and actress Amber Rose, something Young denied by saying Rose was friends with Azalea. After that, Russell revealed to Young that he had taped the entire conversation much to the surprise of his teammate.
