Is there ever a year in which Miguel Cabrera isn’t one of the most impressive hitters in the entire league? Probably not. Despite being 33 in a few weeks, Cabrera still plays like he has at least 10 years left in him. He’s not the fastest or the most athletic player, but he is probably the best hitter in the game — yes, better than Mike Trout right now.

Cabrera wasn’t completely healthy in 2015, leading to his “lackluster” power numbers of just 18 home runs and 76 RBI, but when he’s healthy, no pitcher in the world wants to face him.

As a career .321 hitter, Cabrera knows how to strategically hit in just about every count, every situation and against every opposing pitcher there is. When the Tigers need just a single, he can go the other way with it and drive a run in. If they need a home run, he can usually knock it over the fence with ease.

Don’t be scared off by his numbers from last year, other than the .338 average, as he hit over 40 home runs in 2012 and 2013 before hitting just 25 in 2015 and 18 last year.

If Miguel is healthy in 2016 for the entire campaign, don’t be shocked to see him hit the cover off the ball and win his third MVP award since 2012.

Next: 2. Bryce Harper, Nationals
