Milwaukee Brewers: Enjoy as much of it as you can
For the Brewers to win the World Series it would take a type of ‘boost’ that even Ryan Braun would be unfamiliar with. But with that said, this is not a team that won’t at least be able to put a few runs on the board and at the very least be a thorn in the side of the three teams within their division that do have realistic World Series aspirations.
For this is not a team that is without talent. Braun and Jonathan Lucroy are legitimate All-Stars on their own virtues alone. Scooter Gennett is a sleeper among NL second basemen that deserves a bit more credit than he receives. The additions of Chris Carter and Aaron Hill provide some possible production if they can deliver on even the downsized expectations of based on their previous production.
Yet the truth of the matter is that they are still a team that is fully into sell and rebuild mode, and they are more likely than not to continue to look for ways to ship out as many productive players as they possible can. Strong seasons will be rewarded with new addresses, but until that process is complete, it is still a team that could provide the occasional confounding loss that causes a domino effect in the season standings above them.
