FC Barcelona will wear a special kit to honor Johann Cruyff’s death at El Clasico.
The FC Barcelona kit is one of the most famous in the world, but when they face Real Madrid they will wear a special jersey to commemorate the passing of Johann Cruyff. The Dutch legend left an indelible mark at Barcelona having played there for five years before winning four straight league titles as manager.
As you can see here, their kits will include an engraving that says “Gracies Johan”:

It’s a classy tribute by a classy club, and it’s sure to motivate them to victory even more than they already were. Barcelona coach Luis Enrique already honored Cruyff at the pre-match press conference by stating, “Johann would want us to win the game by playing good football”:

If he were alive, he would certainly be happy of the way Barcelona are winning with such regularity. Messi, Suarez, and Neymar are undoubtedly the best attacking trio in the world and their play has fired them nine points clear at the top of the table.
This kit likely won’t be the only thing they’ll use to honor the Dutchman. While Real Madrid and Barcelona fans disagree on a lot of things, one thing they can agree on is how influential Johann Cruyff was to the game of football.
