Brice Johnson hammers home huge putback jam in Final Four (Video)

North Carolina star Brice Johnson threw down a big putback jam in their Final Four matchup vs Syracuse

The North Carolina Tar Heels found themselves in an early battle against an in-conference foe in the Syracuse Orange on Saturday night in their Final Four matchup from Houston. The two teams played like two teams who are familiar with one another right out of the gate and the Orange actually jumped out to a slight early lead. However, Tar Heels star forward Brice Johnson was ready to turn the tides in an instant.

After a bit of a broken possession, the ball ended up in North Carolina guard Nate Britt’s hands on the perimeter. When Syracuse failed to fully close out, Britt tossed up a shot from three that went off the rim. Luckily for him, the springy Brice Johnson was in the vicinity and rose up to throw down a huge putback dunk to tie things up:

"Brice Johnson, out here cleaning glass. https://t.co/TjSemhw8kV— CBS Sports (@CBSSports) April 3, 2016"

If being able to throw down momentum-shifting putback dunks was considered a skill for NBA Draft prospects, we’d probably be talking about him going No. 1 overall in June. It feels like at least once a game that he’s rising up and throwing down one of his teammates’ misses.

That dunk from Johnson really did serve as a turning point for North Carolina as they went on a run soon after and were able to get their lead up to double-digits and establish control in the game going into halftime.
