Buddy Hield slices up Villanova defense for up-and-under finish in Final Four (Video)

Oklahoma star Buddy Hield weaved through the Villanova defense to make an impressive finish in their Final Four matchup

The Oklahoma Sooners and the Villanova Wildcats put on a show for about the first eight minutes of their matchup in the Final Four on Saturday evening as both teams seemingly couldn’t miss and it looked like the groundwork for a shootout was being laid. However, the Wildcats began to pull away with some pesky defensive play and eventually amassed a double-digit lead. Right before halftime, though, Buddy Hield was trying his best to get Oklahoma back into the game.

Down 13 points with only a minute left in the half, Hield got the ball on the right wing and started by getting his man reeling with a fake off the dribble. Going to his right, Buddy then took a gorgeous jump-step to get around another Villanova defender before then going up-and-under for the beautiful reverse layup finish at the rim:

And you thought that Buddy Hield can only shoot threes.

Though the Sooners conceded the points soon after to go into halftime down by 14, Hield showed on this play why you can’t rule them out. Even with the defensive pressure that the Wildcats put on him in the first half, it’s impossible to deny that Buddy Hield has everything it takes to spearhead a massive comeback in his arsenal. He can rain down threes or slice your defense up like a hot knife through butter. Pick your poison.
