Jim Harbaugh sang the national anthem at a Lil Dicky concert (Video)

Michigan coach and noted hip-hop aficionado Jim Harbaugh sang the national anthem at a Lil Dicky concert

On Saturday night, the University of Michigan campus welcomed one of the unlikely rising stars in rap music in Lil Dicky to perform in concert. In Ann Arbor and especially when it comes to the Michigan Wolverines, there’s no bigger celebrity than head football coach Jim Harbaugh. The polarizing coach (and noted hip-hop fan) was in attendance for the Lil Dicky concert.

Actually, saying that Harbaugh was only in attendance for the show really doesn’t do what happened in Ann Arbor any justice. You see, Jim Harbaugh got up on stage with Lil Dicky and performed the national anthem in front of the Michigan crowd:

This is so perfect in every way. For one, Lil Dicky’s whole persona in hip-hop is that he incorporates a ton of comedic elements and untraditional subject matters into his music. So for him to have a college football coach sing the national anthem at one of his shows actually fits perfectly into his whole gimmick in the music industry.

It’s also perfect, though, because Jim Harbaugh singing the National Anthem at rap shows is probably the greatest thing that could ever happen in anyone’s life. We can only hope that, moving forward from this offseason into future offseason, the Khaki National Anthem World Tour becomes an institution in the rap music industry.
