The D’Angelo Russell-Nick Young saga shined some additional light on an NBA bottom-feeder, but in general, the dregs of the league are now operating in relative obscurity. The focus of the typical NBA fan is on playoff positioning and, well, the pursuit of 73 wins from the Golden State Warriors, so to help you keep tabs on the basement of the league, we have you covered with our weekly breakdown.

With less than two weeks remaining in the season, the tanking race is winding down, but when it comes to acquiring additional ping-pong balls, one game can mean everything. Let’s roll through the NBA’s bottom five for this week.

<p>The Pelicans did what they were “supposed” to do this week, toppling the Knicks and Nuggets at home in close-fought battles.
