Villanova just obliterated Oklahoma in the Final Four on Saturday night and it was shocking
Coming into Saturday night and the Final Four, if there was one of the two games that we all thought would be a thriller, it was the showdown between Villanova and Oklahoma. These are two of the better teams in the tournament and we all thought we’d be getting a battle for the ages.
Well, that’s not really what took place. As a matter of fact, this one will indeed be remembered for a long time to come, but for a completely opposite reason.
Basically from start to finish, Villanova obliterated Oklahoma. The Sooners just couldn’t get anything going offensively, and for the most part, Buddy Hield was about as ineffective as possible. And on the flip side of that, Villanova seemingly could do no wrong, more or less recreating their epic 1985 performance.
It was indeed a stunner given our expectations, and the internet reacted accordingly.
Yeah, Villanova has been defending and shooting so well. But c'mon, Oklahoma. I have to question any team that allows a 25-0 run. #Final4
