WWE WrestleMania 32 odds: Zack Ryder favored to win Intercontinental Championship
The odds for WWE WrestleMania 32 have shifted and now have Zack Ryder favored to win the Intercontinental Championship ladder match
For all of the problems that wrestling fans may have with WWE WrestleMania 32—especially with the main event—one of the most intriguing things about the card for the Dallas spectacle is the air of unpredictability throughout. Of the 11 matches on the card, there are several where the outcome is truly impossible to predict with any kind of certainty. One such match is the Intercontinental Championship ladder match.
Given that the ladder match for the IC title at WrestleMania 32 includes seven superstars obviously lends itself to the unpredictability we’re talking about. However, there are also just simply a lot of different ways that WWE could choose to go. Will they keep the title as part of the feud between current champ Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn? Will they give a push to Dolph Ziggler by giving him a win at WrestleMania 32? Or is it something that we simply don’t see coming?
As of right now, if the betting odds are to be believed, the latter option is the way that WWE is leaning. On Friday, the odds started moving a great deal and have now shifted dramatically to the point that Zack Ryder is now the favorite to win the Intercontinental title at Mania, per Sky Bet (and other betting odds sites).
This is notable for a couple of reasons. For one, Ryder is the favorite by a wide margin. He’s being given 1-5 odds to win the belt while next in line is Zayn at only 9-2. Even more curious, though, is that Ryder was the heaviest underdog when the original lines for WrestleMania 32 and this match were released. That’s a drastic switch in narrative and could indicate some serious momentum behind Ryder at the show.
Considering this huge shift in the odds for WrestleMania 32, there could obviously be another shift before the start of the show on Sunday. But as of now, it looks as if Zack Ryder could legitimately walk out of Dallas as the new IC champ.
