Young ace Marcus Stroman is look to prove what he can do in a full season after missing most of last year do to injury. He will get the Opening Day start, a job he probably would have also had last year before tearing his ACL during Spring Training.

The Rays are countering with their own young ace in Chris Archer. Tampa is looking to rebound from a fourth place finish in the AL East last season. Their biggest strength is their pitching staff led by Archer, but they will need more from the offense that was second last in runs scored in the AL.
