The Masters 2016: List of events

The full event list for the 2016 edition of The Masters.
Masters week is finally upon us. The week that reminds golf fans everywhere of the reasons the game of golf is so beloved. A week filled with events that are filled with nearly as much history as the tournament itself. Even down to the often forgotten practice rounds.
This week’s Masters schedule begins on Monday, April 4th with the first Practice Round.
April 5th brings on the second practice round of the tournament, with the day ending in the tournament staple Tournament Champions Dinner. The Dinner was started by Ben Hogan, golfing legend and Masters champion, in 1952 and has remained a tradition ever since. This year the host of the Champions Dinner is Jordan Spieth, world number two and the man who won the Masters Tournament a year ago.
Wednesday, April 6th is often what people dub as the official start of the Masters Tournament with the infamous Par 3 contest. The inaugural contest that began in 1960 and was won by Sam Snead, Masters champion and golfing legend. The competition is filled with Tournament participants, those who are not participating, but have won the Masters, and individuals that are invited to participate.
Thursday, April 7th begins the actual event with the first tee times coming around 8:00 a.m. EDT. With the Tournament continuing through Sunday. With the Green Jacket Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. EDT, wrapping up the 2016 Masters Tournament.
