7. J.B. Holmes

Just like Willett, American J.B. Holmes is another player that will be playing The Masters after having mild success last year. Where Holmes separates himself from Willett, though, is in regards to narrative. While the British youngster has been on a hot streak over the past year, Holmes has been a bit inconsistent over the past year. However, he’s the type of young, heavy hitting player that can really attack Augusta and make some noise.

According to all reports from the course, the fairways are again lush and ready to be had by this group of young guys that can hit the ball a mile off of the tee box. Holmes is undeniably one of those players as the man packs a wallop off the tee and has the type of power that could allow him to attack the areas where the course is vulnerable and can be had.

Holmes finished at No. 25 at The Masters last year, but seems primed to move up much further in the standings in 2016. If he’s mashing like he’s capable of and everything falls his way throughout the course of the weekend, Holmes could very well shock a lot of people and wind up putting on the Green Jacket on Sunday at Augusta.
