The Masters 2016: 10 dark horse golfers to win the Green Jacket

6. Emiliano Grillo
Argentinian Emiliano Grillo is in his sixth season as a pro and has only one victory on the PGA Tour over that time—winning the Frys Open at the end of 2015. Moreover, he’s playing Augusta at The Masters for the first time this year and will look to make some noise in his debut in this tournament. The thing is, though, that Grillo is more than capable of doing just that.
Though he’s young and only has one win to his credit, Grillo has already played more on the PGA Tour in 2016 than he has in any previous year and he’s played quite consistently. He’s played solid golf and has shown that he has the potential to really take his game to another gear, especially if he can solve his inconsistency issues with his putter.
While you never want to go all-in on a player with a shaky putter on the greens when it comes to The Masters, it really is all that seemingly stands in the way of Grillo and potentially competing for a Green Jacket in 2016. If he can focus with the putter in hand, though, there’s no doubt that Grillo’s first Masters could be exceptionally memorable.
