Will Black Jack Randall be back for more during Season 2 of Outlander?
Outlander Season 2 premieres in only a few short days and fans are dying to know if the show’s most disgusting villain, Captain Johnathon “Black Jack” Randall is really dead.
When last we saw Capt. Randall, he had just finished brutally torturing and raping our beloved Jamie Fraser. Thankfully, Jamie’s men and wife, Claire, devised a plan to free him. It was that plan that left Black Jack Randall crushed on the floor under a heavy door and seemingly dead.
Unfortunately, since Jack Randall is the Outlander villain that fans love to hate it’s likely that we’ll be seeing him again in the near future. While viewers would no doubt love to see Jamie get revenge on Randall for the many vile things he’s done to him and his family, even if Black Jack is dead his memory lives on inside of both Claire and Jamie.
It was the horrible memories of Capt. Randall’s rape and torture that left Jamie Fraser ready to die in the Season 1 finale. Despite Claire’s best efforts it seems that there will always be a piece of him that is completely tarnished by Black Jack’s disgusting obsession with him. That’s why viewers want to see Jamie get his revenge, and possibly even kill Randall in the future, but it may not happen in Season 2.
Outlander Season 1 ended when Jamie and Claire set sail for France to forget the pain of the past, look toward the future with their unborn child, and possibly even change the course of history when it comes to the Scottish rebellion. Even though they’re far away from Randall, it seems fans expect him to pop up at the worst possible time, and likely he will.
Last year Outlander became one of the most talked about new shows on television and Season 2 has been highly anticipated. Fans can watch all of the romance, battles, and plotting go down Saturday nights at 9 p.m. on Starz.
