The Masters 2016: Jordan Spieth highlights from Round 2
Jordan Spieth was not happy that he was being timed at The Masters, that and other highlights from his second round.
On a frustrating day for most golfers at The Masters, it was no different for Jordan Spieth. He birdied two out of the first three holes, but from there it was mostly downhill for the young superstar. He looked as if he would leave the field in the dust, though, after a great start on the first hole of the round.
Just two holes later, he indicated that there might not have been hope for the rest of the field with this immaculate approach and tap in birdie.
But after that, it was mostly downhill for Spieth, only having one other birdie on the day. To add to the stress, Spieth’s group was being timed, and he made sure somebody knew he didn’t like it.
Spieth had a tough time finding birdies throughout the day. A par today was as good as a birdie. When he hit the sand on the 18th, it looked as if another bogey was inevitable. But he somehow got up and down for par with this smooth stroke with the putter in hand.
Spieth will be paired in the last group with fellow young superstar Rory McIlroy. This should be a great matchup on moving day.
