Reggie Bush was one of the most electric running backs in college football history and there probably wasn’t much doubt that he’d be a Pro Bowler in the NFL, but he has yet to reach his potential. At USC, Bush won the Heisman Trophy and torched defenses to the tune of 3,169 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns in just three years.

Bush was dynamic, he was shifty and just about every NFL team wanted a piece of him when he came out in the 2006 NFL Draft. He was then drafted No. 2 overall, which is pretty rare for a running back, by the New Orleans Saints.

As a rookie, he played all 16 games and acted much more as a receiver than he did as a running back, recording just under 600 rushing yards while catching 88 passes for nearly 800 receiving yards. He suffered a knee injury in 2007 that kept him out four games and his knees would get the best of him down the line as well.

The dynamic back misses six games in 2008 with a knee injury once again and missed two contests in 2009 with the same nagging injury. He never looked like the back that everyone thought he’d be out of college because of the knee issues and didn’t record 1,000 yards in a season until 2011.

During his 10-year career with four different teams, Bush has played all 16 games just twice and he’s played less than 12 games five times. Not good for a former superstar.
