Here are the five best games on the NFL preseason schedule for 2016.
For four weeks each August (and the first week of September), 32 NFL teams take the field and figure out what players will make their rosters for the upcoming season. It’s the time where everyone from a veteran starter to an undrafted rookie gets a chance to take the field for a shot at being one of the 1,696 players who can say they are on a regular season roster.
Yes, the games played in the NFL preseason each year don’t count in the standings, but they are just as important to a team’s success or failures each season as any regular season contest. It’s also the month when in-state rivals meet and give fans a chance to see matchups that only happen in the regular season every couple of years.
The 2016 NFL preseason schedule was released Thursday and contains plenty of interesting games that fans should look out for. From football’s return to one major city to the annual Hall of Fame Game that kicks everything off, here’s our list of the top five preseason games fans need to watch for in the 2016 NFL preseason.
