ESPN bumps Kobe Bryant’s last game for Warriors
ESPN has decided to bump the final game of Kobe Bryant for the Golden State Warriors‘ pursuit of NBA history.
After multiple decades of dominance, Kobe Bryant’s legendary career will come to an end on Wednesday night, when the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Utah Jazz at home. It will be one last chance for everyone across the world to see Bryant play his final game.
However, there’s been a change in scheduling and now Bryant’s last game will no longer be airing on ESPN. With the Golden State Warriors’ closing in on the best regular season record in NBA history, ESPN has bumped the Lakers’ game against the Jazz to ESPN2 and will air the Warriors’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies on their main channel.
It’s a bit weird that one of the most dominant players ever is having their last game ever bumped, but it’s not often that a team is closing in on the best regular season record in history.
While the Warriors still have to defeat the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, ESPN is planning accordingly in the event that they do. Add in the fact that the Lakers had yet another down season and aren’t going to be going to the playoffs and it’s a move that makes sense.
The good news is that everyone will just have to flip a channel over to see Bryant take on the Jazz uninterrupted.
