Fred Hoiberg motivates Bulls with ‘Dumb and Dumber’ clip
By John Buhler
Fred Hoiberg is trying to motivate his Chicago Bulls to make the NBA Playoffs by using a clip from “Dumb and Dumber” during a morning film session.
Fred Hoiberg has not met the ridiculous standards set on him as a rookie NBA head coach of the Chicago Bulls. Chicago is fighting desperately to get the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs after being deemed as the Cleveland Cavaliers’ biggest challenger in the East entering 2015-16.
According to the Chicago Tribune‘s K.C. Johnson, Hoiberg has gotten creative of late in trying to inspire his team during their morning film sessions. On Saturday morning, Hoiberg put in a clip from “Dumb and Dumber” into the Bulls’ film session.
“So you’re telling me there’s a chance?” A slim one, but technically, yes, as the Bulls can make the Eastern Conference Playoffs this spring if the Central Division rival Indiana Pacers lose out and the Bulls win out before the regular season’s end Wednesday.
The 2015-16 Bulls actually have a better chance of making the 2016 Eastern Conference Playoffs than Lloyd Christmas had in ending up with Mary

Swanson in the 1994 Farrelly Brothers classic.
Swanson may have only given Christmas a “one in a million” chance, but according to SportsLine there is a one percent chance that the Bulls will win out their final three games, combined with the Pacers also losing their final three.
Unfortunately for the Bulls, their next opponent is the best team in the East which happens to be division rival Cleveland. A loss to the Cavaliers Saturday night and the Bulls are officially eliminated from playoff contention.
If Hoiberg has used the National Lampoon’s “Animal House” and now the Farrelly Brothers “Dumb and Dumber” for motivational sources this season, does that mean Mel Gibson’s “Braveheart” is coming on the next Bulls film session, assuming a Bulls’ win coinciding with a Pacers’ loss of course?
